This has accentuated the demand for cost and management accounting services in all the sectors of economy. Many members of the Institute are holding top management positions, viz., Managing director, Finance director, financial controller, Chief accountant, Cost controller, Marketing manager, Chief Internal auditor. Those managing their own business have found in themselves a Manager and an Accountant to Control and flourish their business.

The ICAI examinations are held in three stages

  • Foundation
  • Intermediate
  • Final

For registration and eligibility for CMA Course

After 10+2

The student who would like to join the course after 10+2 has to undergo three stages to pursue the Cost and Management Accountant Course i.e.

  • Foundation Examination
  • Intermediate Examination
  • Final Examination

After Graduation

The Foundation is waived in the case of gazetted officers, post graduates, qualified engineers holding a degree and graduates from other streams. They are generally allowed to register with the institute for the intermediate examination.

The student who would like to join the Course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Cost and Management Accountant i.e.

  • Intermediate Examination
  • Final Examination

Cut-off Dates for Enrolment

Enrolment to Intermediate/Foundation Course is open throughout the year. However, the candidates must enrolled at least six months prior to the month such examination commences.

Thus the cut-off dates for enrolment are as follows:-

For December Examination              15th June

For June Examinations                       15th December of the preceding year
